Photography Lesson #1
Last night was the first "official" lesson I taught. I've known Rebecca and Catherine for years, and always love taking their pictures. It was a great opportunity for us to sit and chat in a more casual setting as we discussed Rebecca's interest in photography and what areas she was hoping to grow in. We discussed what a good exposure means, and how to work with semi-auto settings, as well as fully manual settings. We went over ISO, APERTURE, and SHUTTER SPEED. We covered a lot of ground today. After 2 hours, she left understanding more about each area that she had hoped to get a better understanding in. We have another lesson scheduled in two weeks and I'm looking forward to it.
Once I got home, I got this message "I had so much fun today! I am so excited to learn so much more about photography..."
That's what it's all about for me... I'm so glad I was able to do this today...
My goal with these lessons is to leave each person with a better understanding in the areas that maybe they just want to learn more about, or currently are struggling to understand. There is so much to learn about photography. Nobody will ever know or understand everything there is to know about it which is why i love it so much. There is so much to it, that it never gets old. I can talk about photography for hours, it's so fascinating to me. I have been in business full time with my own studio for over 10 years. I have been in the photography industry for over 20 years. I love everything photography.
Growing up I was that friend that ALWAYS had a camera. Incase you aren't old enough to remember back in those days :) we didn't have cell phone cameras... we didn't even have cell phones lol ~ I'll share the rest of my story another time, but until then... if you are interested in learning more about photography, whether you are a beginner, or more advanced, if I can I help you grow, feel free to reach out.
